Inspired by Turner’s watercolors

I do not often paint with watercolors, but there are times when it is a joy to capture an image using a different technique.  In an attempt to increase my skills with watercolors, I – like many others – have studied and been inspired by Turner’s many watercolors.  Here is one of my efforts.

Joseph Mallord William Turner 1775-1851    Venice: Moonlight on the Lagoon 1840 Watercolor Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856 (http://www.tate.org.uk/art/work/D32176)
